Conductor David Navarro-Turres leads the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in An Evening of Golden Age Classics: From the Euphrates to the Nile, a celebration of the golden age of Arabic music. Singers Ziyad Al-Hajri, Manar Duraied and Ahmed Effat perform classic songs of the region, reimagined for full orchestra with an Arabic takht ensemble, in arrangements by Qoutayba Neaimi and Ahmed Oweda.
The first half follows the Euphrates with Iraqi classics such as Tal'a Min Beit Abouha and Marreina Bikum Hamad; after the interval the programme moves to the Nile with Egyptian favourites including Zay El Hawa, Gabbar and Ahebbak.
The concert takes place on Friday, 13 November 2026 at The Theatre, U Venue in Al Rayyan, starting at 8:00 PM; seating opens 30 minutes before. Children under 6 are not admitted, the dress code is smart casual, and flash photography and video recording are not allowed. Tickets start from QAR 900, with six seating categories from Side and Upper Orchestra to VIP and VVIP.
